The Combat Application Tourniquet (CAT) is the newest tool in the box for the management of catastrophic haemorrhage from an artery on an arm or leg. Advanced First Aiders are now being taught how to use CAT Tourniquets to save patient’s lives when they experience severe trauma resulting in life threatening bleeding.
